Trail Stewardship & Service Projects
Off-roading comes with a responsibility: leave the trail better than we found it. Our stewardship program organizes cleanups, repairs, conservation efforts, and educational outreach across the state.
Why Stewardship Matters
Utah’s public lands are experiencing record usage. While we love seeing more residents explore the backcountry, it also means:
- More trash on trails and at campsites
- Increased erosion and rutting after storms
- Abandoned structures, shooting debris, and illegal fire pits
- Wildlife habitats under pressure
- Higher demand for education around responsible OHV use
Our stewardship efforts directly protect access by showing land managers, counties, and the OHV program that we care about the places we ride.
What We Do
- Trail cleanup days — trash, debris, campsites, fire pits
- Erosion mitigation — water bars, rut smoothing, blockage removal
- Trail signage support — mile markers, directional signs
- Education outreach — what’s legal, what’s not, and why it matters
- Campground service projects — fire ring fixes, litter removal
- Partnership support — with Utah DNR, Forest Service, BLM, counties
- Newcomer mentoring — teaching Leave No Trace principles
Every project is volunteer-powered — families, Jeep owners, OHV riders, and community advocates working side-by-side.
