Wide rolling ridgelines, open meadows, lakes, and endless networks of forest roads. Most routes in the Daniels & Strawberry region are beginner-friendly and perfect for stock rigs.

Daniels Summit Loop (FR083)

Difficulty: Beginner

Location: Daniels Summit Lodge • Distance: 15–25 miles • Time: 2–4 hours

One of the best beginner routes in the region — rolling roads, open meadows, and great mountain scenery. Suitable for any stock 4x4 in dry conditions.

Best For: First-timers wanting a scenic half-day ride.

Hazards: Mud early season, blind hills.

Strawberry Ridge Road (FR090)

Difficulty: Beginner

Location: Strawberry Valley • Distance: 12–20 miles • Time: 1–3 hours

A smooth mountain ridge road with constant views of Strawberry Reservoir. Great for sunset runs and wide-open scenery.

Hazards: Dust, occasional washouts.

Strawberry River Road

A beautiful riverside dirt road with mellow grades, fishing pullouts, and forested scenery. Great for relaxing, slower-paced drives.

Hazards: Narrow spots, campers, erosion after storms.

Renegade OHV Loops

Location: Northwest Strawberry • Distance: 5–12 miles • Time: 1–2 hours

A network of easy loops branching from Renegade Campground. Great for practicing dirt-road driving with minimal difficulty.

Hazards: Weekend traffic, dusty conditions.

Co-op Creek (Lower)

Difficulty: Beginner–Moderate

Location: Daniels area • Distance: 6–10 miles • Time: 1–2 hours

Lower Co-op Creek offers shady, forested travel with a few rocky sections. Stay on the maintained OHV road and avoid restricted singletrack.

Hazards: Rocky patches, tight passing spots.

Avintaquin Canyon (Easy Side)

Location: Southeast of Strawberry • Distance: 10–20 miles • Time: 1–3 hours

A mellow canyon road that connects high forest terrain with wide views. Great for spring and fall drives.

Hazards: Mud after storms, cattle on road.
