Group Rides & Expectations

Our events are meant to be fun, welcoming, and safe. This page explains how our group runs usually work so you know what to expect the first time you show up.

Before The Ride

  • Read the event description completely (difficulty, location, timing).
  • Make sure your rig is in good working order (no major known issues).
  • Top off fuel and bring water/snacks.
  • Arrive on time at the meetup spot — we usually can’t hold the group long.

Driver Meeting

  • We’ll introduce the trail leads and tail gunner.
  • We’ll review the route, expected conditions, and general plan.
  • We’ll cover basic hand signals and radio channel info.
  • This is your chance to mention any concerns (brand new driver, stock rig, etc.).

On The Trail

  • Stay in line and maintain reasonable spacing.
  • Don’t pass other group members unless directed by a lead.
  • If you have an issue, call out on the radio or flash lights/honk to alert the group.
  • We regroup at major junctions so no one gets accidentally separated.

Spotting & Obstacles

  • If you’re uncomfortable with an obstacle, say so — we’ll talk options.
  • Only one person should be spotting you at a time.
  • Follow your spotter’s instructions slowly and calmly.
  • There is no shame in taking a bypass or turning around.

After The Run

  • Do a quick walk-around of your rig for anything loose or damaged.
  • Air up if you aired down (and torque lugs if needed).
  • Share feedback and photos in the group — it helps future events.
