Grants & Funding

Transparency, stewardship, and responsible recreation — supported by Utah’s OHV grant programs and our incredible community.

Grants Overview

SLC Built Jeeps is honored to have received two major OHV grants that help us expand our mission of responsible recreation, stewardship education, and inclusive access to Utah’s off-road community.

OHV Tourism Grant

The Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Tourism Grant highlights Utah’s breathtaking trail systems while ensuring that off-road experience remains accessible to everyone — including individuals with limited mobility.

  • Guided off-road experiences
  • Adaptive and mobility-accommodating vehicle support
  • Community outreach showcasing Utah’s remote landscapes
  • Programs designed to welcome newcomers to OHV recreation

Our mission is simple: every person deserves the chance to explore Utah’s trails.

OHV Education Grant

The OHV Education Grant strengthens our commitment to responsible recreation through hands-on instruction, stewardship training, and environmental awareness programs that protect Utah’s public lands.

  • Trail stewardship and cleanup programs
  • Sustainable trail use education
  • Environmental awareness workshops
  • Volunteer training and leadership support

Education is the foundation of long-term access — this grant helps turn off-roaders into land stewards.

How Grant Funding Works

It’s important to understand that OHV grants do not pay upfront. All funding is provided on a reimbursement basis, meaning SLC Built Jeeps must cover every approved expense first.

Only after submitting receipts and supporting documentation does OHVR reimburse the cost.

What this means for our organization:

  • We must have cash on hand to start each project.
  • Reimbursement arrives only after approval.
  • All expenses must match the grant’s approved budget.

Project Financial Breakdown

Total Project Cost: $39,499.90

Total OHVR Funding: $22,249.90

SLCBJ Upfront Commitment: $17,250.00

Why Your Donations Still Matter

Grants empower our mission — but donations make the mission possible in real time. Because grant expenses must be paid upfront, community support fills the crucial gap that enables us to operate, educate, and assist riders without delay.

  • Adaptive off-road experiences for riders with limited mobility
  • Expanded educational and stewardship programs
  • Safety gear for volunteers and admins
  • Trail cleanups and community events
  • Upfront funding of grant-approved items

Your contribution isn’t just a donation — it’s an investment in keeping Utah’s public lands open, respected, and enjoyed responsibly.
